See the world in monocolor. “1 PIXEL WORLD” is a project to highlight the value of colors that we tend not to be aware in our everyday lives. 1 pixel, world’s lowest resolution camera was uniquely developed for this project. An original algorithm based on cognitive psychology captures the most impressive color to human eyes, and transform any visual into a monocolor photo. This website is an online gallery of the 1 pixel photos. Linked to Instagram, each photo is #tagged to the original subject, scenery, or feelings. An image of the blue sky turns into a #Sky of blue. An image of burning sunset turns into a #Sky of orange. #Banana could be scarlet red, or #Nude could be emerald green.
